A Little Bit MORE About Me…

I’m a researcher focused on the geopolitics, security, and economics of the Middle East and North Africa. Since 2023, I’ve been based at the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs in Budapest.

Much of my work is driven by a desire to understand the Middle East on its own terms, beyond conventional geopolitical narratives and the headlines in Western media. Pursuing that understanding has taken me across the region, from Morocco to the Levant and all six GCC states. Most recently, I spent the better part of August 2026 in Syria, exploring the realities of post-war state-building and reconstruction on the ground.

My previous experience includes work with ORF Middle East in Dubai, the Politics and Society Institute in Amman, and Al Fusaic in Washington. Prior to entering the field, I completed a Bachelor of Arts in International Politics and a Master of International Affairs, with specializations in Middle Eastern Security Studies and International Business and Economics, from the Pennsylvania State University.
